Paul Crotto

Born in 1921. Like many other US veterans (Bill Waldren, George Sheridan, Norman Yanikun) Paul came to Europe on his GI Bill to study art in Paris. With his friends he came to Deia in 1959 and has continued to return yearly. Paul is one of the ‘regulars’ at Sa Fonda during the summer chess competitions and practices daily in Paris to keep up his winning style. His paintings are shown in Paris and abroad. He was a raconteur of stories from WWII and his charm and eternal good looks keep him in good company.

Paul died in 2016
